Mission Week 41: September 11, 2017

September 11, 2017

WE STILL DONT KNOW ABOUT THE TRANSFERS!!!! I AM ALMOST CERTAIN THAT I WILL TRAIN A SISTER STARTING TOMORROW, BUT LITERALLY PRESIDENTE HAS NOT FINISHED THE TRANSFERS YET AND SO NO ONE WILL KNOW UNTIL LATER THIS AFTERNOON! THIS NEVER HAPPENS!!! EVERYONE IS ON EDGE....if I get called to train a new sister, I will travel tonight or tomorrow morning to pick up my new "daughter" and eat lunch at the Presidente's house will all of the other new missionaries and trainers....fingers crossed...but either way..I am fine to be with anyone in any area. I am not sure if I will stay in Bauru Centro another transfer...but the ward members have been calling me all week asking me if I am coming back.....we will see this afternoon what Presidente decides.......

When I talked to you guys last Monday, I was in Presidente's house still....we ate lunch there- me, Sister Silva, and the Pereira's and then we took Sister Silva to the bus station to head home. she was emotional saying goodbye to me and I told her I loved her.

I slept on Monday night in Cascavel with some sisters there and we had a good time- it was Sister Penni's last area before she went home and I missed her so much!

The next day was the conference in Cascavel and i saw lots of old friends-- Sisters Cisneros, Sadleir, etc. and it was fun. I didn't participate in the practices or anything because Sister Pereira and I were designated companions.

I seriously LOVE MY MISSION PRESIDENTE AND HIS WIFE!!!! I FEEL SO LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO FEEL OF THEIR GOODNESS AND SPIRIT, especially during our travels this week!!!!!!!!

On our way home after the conference on Tuesday, Presidente dropped me off in another zone in our mission, closer to Londrina, called Maringá. I spent this week with the sister training leader, Sister Trindade, because her companion went home (finished her mission). Sister Trindade is considered an official companion for me, my 10th in 9 months....lol...because I spent a full week with her already. She is from Rio Grande do Sul-- Patricia Trindade- she is 25 and more quiet at first, but she is soooo much fun! I know that we probably wont stay together after today, but I loved this week with her! We worked super hard here in her area and felt the spirit so strong in our lessons this week! She is so fun! she wants to get to know Zach better.........:) !!!!! She loves "all of me" by John Legend and almost died when I told her that that is Zach and my duet go-to song together!! lol!

Sister Trindade wants to get a card from you, mom!!!!! hehe

I was in contact with Bauru all week, trying to help my investigators and ward to progress while I was traveling. It was hard to leave my area and investigators this week, but the ward was awesome and kept things afloat for me this week.

N. WAS CONFIRMED AND HER GRANDMA WILL BE AT CHURCH THIS WEEK- HER GRANDMA TOLD THE MEMBERS THAT SHE WANTS TO START COMING TO OUR CHURCH TO SUPPORT HER GRANDDAUGHTER!!! yay!!!!!!

I MISS N. SO MUCH AND AM HOPING TO STAY IN BAURU TO KEEP HELPING HER! I know even if I get transferred out of Bauru today, I still need to go back and get my suitcases so...I will see her again.... I HOPE TO ATLEAST STAY ONE MORE TRANSFER THERE...we will see...the Lord knows what is best!!!!

This week was awesome!! I am usually a home body, even in the mission, I like to stay in my area, working and just focusing there, but this week was a blast! I saw the whole mission in 2 days! I am tired, but Sister Trindade and I had a great week with her investigators in Maringá. We also found lots of new people for her to start working with this new transfer.

On Wednesday- she said that she thought it would be a good idea to knock doors to find people, but she was unsure where to start knocking. We went back and forth for a few minutes, looking at our map...but then I concluded, "sister, vamos fazer uma oração.. posso fazer?" Then I said a prayer. We stood there in the street and I prayed, making a promise with the Lord that we would do our part to talk to everyone possible in the following hour to find people to receive our message, and that in return, we wanted to find 5 people ready to receive us during that hour. After the prayer, we knocked just two houses and WE TAUGHT 5 PEOPLE!!! SERIOUSLY, AFTER THAT PRAYER, WE KNOCKED ONLY TWO HOUSES AND FOUND THE 5 PEOPLE WE HAD ASKED THE LORD TO PREPARE FOR US!!!! PRAYER IS REAL! WE HAVE TO BE SPECIFIC IN OUR PRAYERS, MAKE A PROMISE WITH THE LORD, AND HE, THROUGH OUR FAITH AND WORKS, ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES!!!!!! WE WERE SO HAPPY!

Its the seemingly little things here in the mission that really are little things at all. I AM SEEING THE HAND OF THE LORD IN EVERY DAY AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! BEING A MISSIONARY IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!
